About Me

Imagine a life without constant worrying about the uncertainties ahead or persistent anger and guilt about the hurts from the past. It’s my goal to help you experience freedom from your pain and begin approaching life from a perspective of gratitude, grace, and positivity. You don’t have to continue figuring out life alone.

Like many people, I faced my own difficult experiences, challenging decisions, and mental health issues that led difficulties in my life. After attending a Grace Life Conference in 2006, I learned truth about who I really am and that I had been performing for acceptance in my life. Through my own healing journey, I became inspired to help others overcome the same things I encountered. I spent time working in an adolescent psychiatric hospital, and from 2011 - 2017, served as Director and Facilitator of a local chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA).

After completing a multi-year Pastoral Counseling program and internship, I had the opportunity to serve in a group practice for three years, during which time I obtained Board Certification. I have also studied at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary's Leavell College, Luther Rice College & Seminary and Light University. In addition, I have a degree in Applied Theology and Christian Counseling from Aidan University.

My wife and I launched Freedom Path Counseling in 2018 to focus our complete attention on serving hurting people in the Gwinnett County area where we’ve lived for over 40 years. It’s our desire to see struggling people experience healing and restoration in their lives.
