About Me

Imagine a life no longer overshadowed by anxiety about tomorrow or the unresolved weight of yesterday. My focus is dedicated to helping individuals move toward that freedom—a life grounded in clarity, gratitude, grace, and renewed purpose. No one is meant to navigate life’s challenges in isolation, and it is my calling to walk with you as you pursue healing and growth.

My own path has included seasons of adversity and transformation, shaping both my personal and professional perspective. Through those experiences, I gained not only a deeper understanding of mental and emotional struggle but also a profound sense of compassion for those carrying similar burdens. That journey ultimately led me to this mission: to support individuals and families as they rediscover hope, restore balance, and healthy and whole.

I’ve had the privilege of serving in an adolescent psychiatric hospital, and from 2011 to 2017, I led a local chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), providing support and guidance to individuals facing real mental health battles.

My formal training includes a multi-year Pastoral Counseling program and internship, culminating in Board Certification as a Pastoral Counselor. I’ve studied at respected institutions including New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary’s Leavell College, Luther Rice College & Seminary, and Aidan University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Theology and Christian Counseling, a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology and Christian Counseling.

In 2018, my wife and I founded Freedom Path Counseling, a nonprofit organization devoted to bringing healing and hope to individuals and families in Gwinnett County—the community we’ve called home for over 40 years. Our mission is simple: to help people find freedom, healing, and restoration in every area of life.
