LAURIE TURNER

South America Ministry Coordinator

Laurie Turner is the founder of Fundación Ministerio Intercambio de Vida (translated as “Exchanged Life Ministry Foundation”) in Bogotá, Colombia. She serves on the founders’ board of the ministry and is also a consultant for the foundation Hilando Vidas (Weaving Lives) starting up in Medellin, Colombia. She has partnered with ministries in Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Her focus is pastoral counseling and discipleship as well as raising up Colombians to do the same. Her ministry leads pastors, leaders, missionaries and lay people into healing and a deeper dependence on Jesusas their Source of Life.

After living in Japan for 2 years, Laurie started her career as a missionary with YWAM in 1991. She served in the Pacific and Asia regions until going to Brazil in 1994. Since then her love for South America grew and her call to Latin America was confirmed. After learning Portuguese and Spanish, she joined Grace Ministries International in 1999 and became their liaison to South America.

Moving to Colombia in 2005, Laurie raised up a team of Colombians to teach and disciple others in the Exchanged Life Message. Over the years the ministry has helped disillusioned Christians who had left the Church come back into a growing relationship with the Lord as well as bringing Colombians to saving faith in Christ. It has seen legalistic Christians who were burned out on religion transformed into people with a growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

In May of 2023, Laurie received Colombian citizenship, opening doors to minister in other South American countries as a Colombian American. Her plan is to continue bringing a message of grace and healing where the Lord opens doors in the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world.
