FAQ

The Answers You Need

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

We do not accept insurance. Accepting  insurance requires a psychiatric diagnosis which can remain on your permanent medical record. One of the primary benefits to not accepting insurance is the additional level of confidentiality protection.

HOW OFTEN DO SESSIONS OCCUR?

Each counseling session lasts between 45 - 60 minutes depending on individual (adult/couple or teen). Sessions are available weekly, but frequency is usually determined by the clients situation, preference, availability, and budget.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

If an emergency occurs or you have to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify our office at least 24 hours in advance. There is a mandatory $35 cancelation fee if you fail to contact the office or show for an appointment.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept cash, check, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) and Health Savings Account (HSA) debit cards.

At Freedom Path, it's our desire to provide affordable counseling services to all in need, and never turn individuals away due to financial concerns. Due to the this, we have a sliding scale available on a limited basis. Please contact us for more information.

WHAT TYPE OF COUNSELING DO YOU OFFER?

Freedom Path is a Christian Counseling organization. We offer both a Pastoral and Clinical Counseling approach. We seek to help people regardless of their faith background or beliefs. We do not push our beliefs on anyone. However, faith forms our worldview, practice, and perspective.

In addition, we are a member organization of Network220,  an international network of more than 110 churches, counseling ministries, and training ministries throughout the United States and beyond.

HOW IS YOUR ORGANIZATION DEFINED?

As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, we operate under the Logos Global Network Ecclesiastical Association. Our Pastoral Counselors provide services under Georgia code 43-10A-7(10)(11)(12) as Commissioned, Licensed, or Ordained Ministers of the Gospel (clergy) trained in Biblical Counseling and are certified (or under supervision) through the Board of Examiners for Georgia Christian Counselors and Therapists.

In addition, some of our counselors may also hold licensing through other accrediting bodies, such as, but not limited to, the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage & Family Therapists.
