About Me
The lessons my parents conveyed to me as a child remain with me today. My parents
always reminded my sisters and me that they loved us, but God loved us most;
cleanliness was next to Godliness; and, hard work would come with a reward. Growing up, I spent a great deal of time memorizing bible verses for Sunday School and learning poems that my mother recited daily. “Once a task is first begun, never leave it til it’s done. Be the task great or small; do it well, or not at all.” Her second favorite was “I would rather see a sermon than hear one any day…” We listened to music, my parent’s music…love songs and gospel music. “I will trust in the Lord until I die;” and “Jesus is best thing that ever happened to me” were regulars; and, of course their favorite song by Sam Cooke. “You Send Me.” My parents and church leaders were my first teachers. My teachers at school were third.
Family is very important to me. I am the daughter of the late Samuel and Francine
Tucker. I am divorced and the proud mother of three children, one daughter-in-love, and five grandchildren.

My formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the
University of Georgia; a Master of Science Degree in Guidance and Counseling; and, a Specialist Degree in Guidance and Counseling both from the Fort Valley State University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. Having come full circle, I completed my Education Leadership Certification through the University of Georgia.

Prior to serving as an Assistant Principal with Gwinnett County Public Schools, I served as a high school counselor for 22 years. Prior to working as a high school counselor, I worked as a Social Worker. The pinnacle of my counseling career was being recognized as 2017 Gwinnett County High School Counselor of the Year and 2017 Georgia School Counselor of the Year.

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to help others. My passion is to see others grow…physically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally. I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your journey.
