About Me

From an early age, I found myself as the problem-solver and advice-giver among friends and family. This natural inclination led me to pursue higher education at Mercer University, where I initially set out on the pre-med track. However, after realizing that chemistry and I were not a good match, I discovered psychology—and I am grateful that I did. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2016, which deepened my curiosity about the human mind and the systems that shape it.

Eager to expand my knowledge, I continued at Mercer and completed my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2018. During graduate school, I interned at a children’s advocacy center—a challenging yet deeply rewarding experience that confirmed my passion for working with children, teens, and families. After graduation, I worked in community mental health, serving clients from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Many were transitioning from residential treatment back into their homes and communities, which further fueled my interest in supporting families through times of adjustment and growth. My journey eventually brought me into residential treatment settings, where I gained invaluable insight into my long-term goals and dedication to child and adolescent mental health.

Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Therapy. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and strength-based, focusing on the whole person and the systems in which they live. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful goals. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, structural family therapy, and play therapy, tailoring interventions to meet each client’s unique needs.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our five beloved pets, and our close-knit circle of friends and family. My husband and I share a love for creative and artistic activities, attending concerts, beach trips, and hosting game nights.
